From January 2026, the government wants to introduce BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) norms, due to which prices of ACs and refrigerators may increase by around 5–10%.
Previously, due to GST norms, prices of these products had decreased, but after the BEE norms, prices are expected to increase again.
Additionally, copper prices are also rising, which adds to the cost pressure.
Because of the new norms, what is a 5-star rated refrigerator in 2025 may become a 4-star rated refrigerator.
2)Auto Sector december Sales:
In December, commercial auto sales (trucks and buses) showed good growth across companies on a year-on-year basis.
Mahindra & Mahindra: 43% growth
Tata Motors: 25% growth
Ashok Leyland: 27% growth
3)Reliance wants AI everywhere :

5)Vodafone Idea – Big News :

Vodafone Idea stock fell 15% on 31st December.
The fall happened because market expectations were high that the government would reduce AGR dues by at least 50% or convert them into equity.
Instead, the government approved a 5-year moratorium till FY32 on AGR interest.
This means Vodafone Idea will not pay interest on around ₹87,000 crore, but the principal amount still needs to be paid.

Due to this news, Honasa Consumer stock rose 5% on 30th December 2025.

7)RBI Banking and NBFC Sector Report :
On 29th December, RBI released a report stating that in FY24–25, the banking sector performed strongly with double-digit growth in deposits and credit.
Compared to last year, growth may be slightly lower, but overall performance remains healthy.
NBFCs also maintained good growth in asset quality.
According to the RBI report, there is no major weakness in the banking sector.
